I'm finally getting around to posting the demo painting I did during the local art show last month. The show runs Thursday through Sunday, and I did about 2 1/2 hours of "painting in public" Saturday morning of the show. I worked from a very "Photoshopped" image which was actually three photos that I merged together to make the image I wanted. The foreground is a marshy area of a lake just a few miles south of where I live (north Texas), the sky is from a photo I snapped out the window of my moving car, and the heron in the foreground is from yet another photo. Anyway--it was fun to paint and it came together pretty quickly. Only a little bit of tweaking after I got it home. Hope you like it.
